What’s Happening

Plans are currently underway for the Michigan Mille XV which will take place June 18-21, 2020. While the plans are preliminary we are currently expecting another “cloverleaf” pattern. That is we will stay all three nights in the same hotel and take a different route each day, exploring the back roads in and around the Traverse City area of northwest Michigan lower peninsula. This area boasts some of the best roads and scenery in Michian.

If you have an interest in getting your classic or sports car out for a little exercise on some winding back roads consider joining us in 2020. Drop us a note and we will be happy to fill you in on the details and answer any questions you may have.

  1. David, We are still in the planning phase for 2013. What I can tell you now is that we will be starting from the Chrysler Museum again in late June and we will then be heading to Kalamazoo for a “cloverleaf” pattern. Staying at the same hotel for three nights. We are currently negotiating with a few hotels. We have the routes roughed out but a lot of work remains. We will be visiting the Gilmore Car Museum and a couple of private car collections along the way.

I will continue to update the website as we make progress and the dates and events firm up. Please feel free to keep checking back.

  2. The Michigan Mille allows sports and classic cars built prior to 1987. We will also allow more modern sports cars as well with prior approval.

  3. First do you have any spots left?

Second is it necessary to have a Navigator? A friend and I both have classic sports car and would both love to drive but would it be better for one to drive and one to navigate?

    Thanks

  4. Gord,
At this point we do have a couple of slots remaining. Regarding the navigator, it is not necessary. We have about 50% of the participants which do the event without a navigator. Obviously having a navigator does make it much easier to find you way through the event.

  5. Would like some info on possibly participating in your event this year.

  9. Hi classic car appreciators!

I may or may not have my 1983 Pininfarina Azzura (you know, the Fiat 124 Spider, after Fiat gave up on the U.S. market) on the road by next summer, but do also have an older (1973) BMW motorcycle, which would like to get in on such a tour.

Would you please add me to your lists for 2014?

Also, would you mind sharing your back roads routes around Michigan? I and other sports car, motorcycle, or bicycle tourists would value your knowledge and experience.

    Thanks!

  10. I will add you to our list of interested parties for our 2014 event. At this point we are very early in our pre-planning phase as such the first communication you will see will be late summer/early fall.

  11. I am interested in the 2014 event as information becomes available. Does a 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T qualify for your events? Thanks.

  12. Jack,

We have added you to the list of interested people for our event. Look for the first communication in early Fall for next years event.

  13. Wes,

We are finalizing our plans for 2015 now. The dates are June 13-16 and we will be heading to Traverse City Michigan this year. Having lived in Australia for a while I know what a Holden Torana is, but I have not seen many in the US. I will add your email address to our database and include you on all future communications.
